Airport protest rattles Rann

BannersNightAirport

Thirty five residents turned up at Whyalla Airport on Monday the 4th of May to meet the Premier of South Australia, Mike Rann, as he arrived for community consultation on the proposed industrial projects at Point Lowly. Unknown to the protesters, his government had approvd the sale of land at Point Lowly for the construction of a new diesel facility. The residents wanted Mr. Rann to know that they did not want any development at Point Lowly and that they had better locations for the proposed infrastructure. The mention of alternative sites for Mr. Rann's projects appeared to rattle him, leading him to demand details from the residents. More Video
