A large gathering of protesters and a visual stunt involving 674 black balloons (tonnes of carbon per hour emitted from the Olympic Dam expansion - 5.9 Million tonnes per year) Greens MLC Mark Parnell is the spokesperson.

The Olympic Dam is the most unsustainable project ever to be proposed in the state of South Australia. Friday the 7th of August is the last day of the "public consultation period” when submission can be lodged.
