Olympic Dam Expansion Protest. Parliament House, North Terrace, Adelaide South Australia. 7th August 2009. Organised by the Young Greens. There were 674 black balloons symbolising the tonnes of carbon dioxide that will be emitted from the Olympic Dam expansion. (5.9 Million tonnes per year). Speeches given by Greens MLC Mark Parnell, David Noonan of the Australian Conservation Foundation and Tom Cheesman of the Save Point Lowly Group.
